Introduction

Today you will begin an an interactive group project that will explore life in Ancient Greece. You will be divided into groups of three and each of you will have a specific role within your group. Each group member will either be in charge of research on Ancient Greek architecture, government, or sports. Please pay close attention to your research as you begin work on this project. People in Ancient Greece were much like we are today, with the same general thoughts, ideas, and interests in life. Your research will enable you to actually experience life in Ancient Greece and compare it to modern day life.

As you make discoveries about life in Ancient Greece, pay close attention to the ways in which life is similar as well as different to your life today. You will be creating two "historical artifacts" and a newspaper article that will be made based on your role as an expert on architecture, government, or sports. Your artifacts and newspaper article will be placed in a time capsule as if you were a citizen of Ancient Greece leaving part of your culture behind for future generations.
