The Task

Members of your research team will learn about the different groups in society during the French Revolution. First each individual will learn background information about the catastrophic event. After looking at this information you will fill out a chart giving general knowledge on each role. Then each member within the group will research one of the roles the task calls for. These roles are: bourgeoisie - aristocracy, peasants, artists, philosophers and the church. Your group will be researching how each of these roles affected the beginning stages of the revolution.

Using the information found from your research, you will then hold a fictional meeting between the groups of society to try and come up with a peace plan. As a group you will come together and hold a debate one side will support the bourgeoisie and aristocracy and the other will support the peasants. After the debate is completed the research team will write a paper on the effect each of these groups had on the revolution
