Architect
As your group's architect, you are responsible for the design and construction of your carnival game. You will compare the two games your group selected and determine which one will be easier to construct with the materials available at the school store.
As the architect you will need to know how much space you have to operate your game. Use the following Website to guide you through the creation of a floor plan of your classroom:
After Creating your floor plan divide the space evenly between the number of groups to determine how much room you have to make your game. Write the dimensions of the space available to you on your completed floor plan.
Next, you will need to print out a copy the materials listed on the Classroom Carnival Store Supply List (PDF) available at the school store. Revisit the Websites where you found your two games.
On your Architect's Evaluation (PDF) write down which available materials you can use to make your games. You may want to examine the following Websites for ideas on how to actually construct your game.
Once you have decided how to construct your game, and your group's statistician and financial advisor have gathered all of their information, you should come together as a group to discuss your findings.
Remember, the data you collected might say that one game is the best, and your group members' data might say that the other game is best. You must discuss and consider all the information collected and decide as a group which game would be the best one for the carnival!
