As a group, you will review these popular titles on these sites:

Choose one you want to rewrite, and then decide on the modern context you would like to write it in.

Brainstorm with your group and come up with an idea for your story.

Once you have chosen your roles, click on the following links to find out the next steps.

After each group member has finished their task, make sure all the pages are printed out. Turn them in in the right order along with the front and back covers.

While you are waiting for your book to get published (bound together), discuss with your group how the process worked for you.

Was your job hard? How so?
Did you have fun?
How did you collaborate with the other group members?
Do you feel that your final product was an overall success?

Give everyone a chance to speak. This is your chance to reflect on your experiences with your group. Take notes on some major issues or interesting points.

Your homework tonight will be to write a brief summary (one page) of this discussion and how you feel about this assignment. To receive your published book, your group must make an exchange. With your teacher, each group member will exchange their written summary for the groups published book! You must complete your homework!
