Process
Following the steps below, you will look deeper at different perspectives of art:
Step1: Individuals from your WebQuest team will explore one of the roles below.
- 18th century specialist
- 19th century specialist
- 20th century specialist
Step 2: Explore through the files linked to your group. If you print out the files, underline the passages that you feel are the most important. If you look at the files on the computer, copy sections you feel are important by dragging the mouse across the passage and copying/ pasting it into a word processor or other writing software. Use this worksheet to assist you in the process.

Note: Remember to write down or copy/paste the URL of the file you take the passage from so you can quickly go back to it if you need to to prove your point.
Step 3: Be prepared to focus what you've learned into a PowerPoint presentation, that represents one art exhibit about political and or social statements.
Step 4: Reaching Consensus
Each specialist should:
- Find pieces of reactionary art from different time periods and art movements
- Come back together with the other members of your WebQuest team, discuss, analyze and form a persuasive argument for the pieces you have found to put in your exhibit.
- Collaborate to put together a Power Point presentation as a group
- Use information, pictures, facts, opinions, etc. from the web pages you explored to convince your teammates why your selections fit the criteria of the exhibition as reactionary works of art.
Your WebQuest team should agree with all the entries to your exhibit. The PowerPoint presentation will be shared with the class as your exhibitions.
