Westhampton College Mission & Objectives

Mission

As a women's college within a coeducational university, Westhampton College seeks to strengthen women in their intellectual and personal development, to value diversity in all its forms, and to prepare women to lead informed, purposeful lives.

Objectives:

Westhampton College seeks to fulfill its mission in the following ways:

  1. By strengthening our students’ lifelong appreciation of friendships, experiences, and connections among women.

  2. By fostering an environment that promotes respect for and learning about diverse identities, experiences, and expressions.

  3. By educating students about the role of gender in their lives and communities.

  4. By helping students to integrate curricular and co-curricular knowledge.

  5. By providing services that support students academically and developmentally.

  6. By encouraging students to take responsibility for their health and well-being.

  7. By maintaining and strengthening ties with the alumnae of Westhampton College.
