Student Activities provides services and support for our campus and the greater UR community:
  • General information
  • Babysitter information
  • Lost & Found
  • Vehicle reservations
  • Banner pole reservations
  • Banner supplies & Graphics Room
  • Flyer approval and posting for Commons (policy)
  • duPont Fund
  • Florist delivery - student pick-up
  • A/V and other equipment check-out
  • Student organization mailboxes
  • US mail & campus mail drop boxes
  • Event programming

Student Activities is the primary resource for student organizations to tap into needed services. These are just a few examples of the services that are available to student organizations:

Event Planning Information
  • Guidance in planning events to ensure a student organization’s effectiveness.
  • Event information on a daily and weekly basis as well as details about major events.
  • University publications, Richmond area information and maps, University addresses and mailing labels.
  • Leadership information to facilitate workshops that may enhance an organization’s operation.

Equipment and Facilities

  • Recognized organizations may reserve meeting space and/or equipment through University Services. Contact University Services at 804.289.8172 or use the online registration request form.
  • Recognized organizations may request their own mailbox in the Office of Student Activities.
  • Vendacard (photocopy) accounts may be approved for student organizations’ administrative and publicity needs.

Banner Space and Flyers

Student organizations can advertise their events in the Tyler Haynes Commons. Contact Student Activities to reserve space for a banner or to have flyers approved for posting.

University Vehicles

Student organizations have the privilege to use University vehicles. Reservations are made through Student Activities. There is a per-mile cost which includes fuel. Drivers must be approved by Safety Services. See the Driver's Safety Program for more information.
