yoUR Odyssey

VOICES First Fridays yoUR Odyssey

The Goals

Leave with friends and a support system.  Take the time to get to know and learn more about one another.

Leave with an increased sense of what you are capable of achieving.

Rediscover your courage and creativity, both to facilitate taking risks and to find solutions to problems.

Initiate contact with a diverse group of individuals.

The People

yoUR Odyssey is a new outdoor sophomore program taking place in August before classes begin.

This is your trip—created for sophomores only.

Odyssey is about building lasting friendships while exploring Virginia’s forests, traveling through dramatic terrain, experiencing unmatched views, and finding that crystal-clear swimming hole just when you need it most.

It’s about traveling in a small group of 12 and creating a common bond that will last throughout your time at Richmond.

You’ll get to move into your room early and then come back from the trip after the mad move-in rush.

The Leaders

As with any great journey, you will have competent leaders who will provide the support that will help make your adventure one you will not soon forget.

Just like you, your guides will be students at the University of Richmond.  They have taken advantage of the many resources, both on campus and in the surrounding mountains, to develop the skills necessary to make yoUR Odyssey as safe as possible.
