An important aspect of the coordinate system is
the well-established traditions each college sponsors. For Richmond
College, these traditions establish meaningful relationships
between students, faculty, and administration.
Richmond College Investiture Service
First-year men are formally accepted into the college and introduced to its
history and symbols with a focus on the honor system.
Richmond College Homecoming Dance
An annual social event held during Homecoming Weekend sponsored by the Richmond
College Student Government Association and the Richmond College Sophomore
Cabinet.
Richmond College Leadership Dinner
Student leaders share their organizations' plans for the year and are
thanked for their commitment to Richmond College and the University.
Richmond College Senior Banquet
Senior men are thanked and honored for their participation in contributing
to the University of Richmond community. A keynote speaker addresses the
seniors and awards are presented.
Richmond College and Westhampton College
Graduation Reception and Candlelight Ceremony
Senior men and women gather with their parents and guests at this social
event. Following the reception, the Candlelight Ceremony is a final
opportunity to reflect on experiences at the University.
Richmond College First Fridays
First Fridays is a new Richmond College program in which the Dean and
Associate Dean visit students in a selected residence hall on the "first Friday"
of each month. Their purpose is to promote communication and build
relationships with the students of Richmond College while enjoying pizza
together.
