Dear Current or Prospective College Student,

Hello and welcome to the web site for Richmond College! One of the most distinctive features of the University of Richmond is the Coordinate College system. Women undergraduates are members of Westhampton College, and the undergraduate men are members of Richmond College. Richmond College exists to educate men in the new millennium, and the responsibility of the Richmond College Dean’s Office is to foster the success of the men of the University of Richmond both in and out of the classroom.

Perhaps the most important factor in being successful in college is knowing that you “fit”. Our job is to help you build relationships with other students, with faculty members, and with staff so that you feel the sense of community and support you need to be successful. The Richmond College Dean’s Office staff is committed to helping students adjust to college life, to explore leadership/involvement opportunities, and to understand the academic regulations and community living standards so that you can make the most of the University of Richmond experience.

As the Dean of Richmond College, I have a great job. In my role, I spend a lot of time with students. I hear about their successes, and I am able to assist them in managing the challenges they face both in and out of the classroom. In addition, I have the honor of working with a great staff in the Richmond College Dean’s office. Richmond College is a unique support system for men within the overall University community. My staff is dedicated to creating an inclusive community that promotes learning, citizenship, and engagement.

You’ll find information about our staff, office, mission, history and traditions, residence life, student conduct policies, and honor system. You will also find out about ways you can get involved as a student leader in one of the many Richmond College programs.
